The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), or General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), is an important piece of EU legislation designed to ensure the safety of products on the market.

The aim of the regulation is to Strengthen Product Safety Regulation and to ensure that products on the EU market comply with Relevant Safety Standards.GPSR, which will come into force on 13 December 2024,

The GPSR includes requirements in the following main areas

1. Manufacturer's obligations:

The manufacturer or importer must ensure that the product meets the safety compliance requirements, establish appropriate inspection procedures and carry out a risk assessment before the new product is put on the market.

2、Product compliance marking

The product must bear the European mark of conformity (CE marking), this mark indicates that the product complies with the applicable safety and health requirements of the European Union.

3、CE mark of conformity

The conformity assessment procedure for CE marking includes self-declaration and conformity.

4、Market surveillance

EU member states are responsible for market surveillance of products, including product import, wholesale, retail and so on, to ensure that the products comply with the requirements of the GPSR.

5、Enforcement Measures

Violations of the GPSR are subject to penalties, including fines, confiscation of products, product recalls, and may result in market entry or criminal liability.
